C. , México 31109 ABSTRACT Bentonite clays are frequently used in the formulation of structural ceramics at low concentration in spite of its chemical composition which is similar to kaolinite, the most used clay for this purpose. During the study of the sintering properties of natural bentonite clay, we found that the studied bentonite can be used as main component to formulate structural ceramic products where control of dimension is fundamental.
